The barn smelled like manure and perspiration of tired horses and the wonderful sweet breath of patient cows. The barn was pleastly warm in the winter and cool in the summer when the big doors stood wide open to the breeze. The barn had stalls on main floore for the work horses tie ups on the main floor for the cows, a sheep fold down below for the sheep and the pigpen down for Wilbur and it was full of all sort of thing that you will find in barns. Mr. Zuckerman put Wilbur in the celler of the barn because its were the pigpen is in the barn and Wilbur would stay warm in the munure. Wilbur never had any fun because he was stuck up in the barn. Wilbur was tired of living because he never had any fun in the barn. When he was inside all he could do was go outside and when he was outside all he could do was go inside.

Since we haven't been able to read Charlotte's Web for quite some time I want you to begin today by writing a brief summary of what we remember from what we have read so far. Take about 10 minutes to write about what you remember.
I remember that the egg that the goose gave Tempelton ( The Rat) exploded into the barn and stinked up the place and everybody is now ANGRY at Templeton. Also Avery tried to trap or kill Charlotte ( The Spider) with a stick and Fern ( The little girl who used to own the pig) tried to stop him. Luckily she got away and scared the horse by going over there to save her life. I also remember that Charlotte already spun the web that said " Some Pig" and Wilbur ( The Pig) is scared that he will die during Christmastime. Charlotte made a promise to Wilbur that she would save him from dyeing and Wilbur is scared she can't do it because she is a small spider and they humans are BIGGER than her and they are big humans. Charlotte is trying to save Wilbur and she is trying HARD!!!!!!!
